What it does

Anthropic's public repository of Agent Skills: example skills plus production document skills. The clone lists 19 skill folders, including pdf, docx, pptx and xlsx document skills, frontend-design, skill-creator, mcp-builder, webapp-testing and internal-comms.

The document skills walk the agent through creating and editing files — the pdf skill, for example, covers reading and extracting text and tables, merging and splitting, filling forms and OCR on scanned PDFs, using Python libraries and command-line tools. Skills are loaded only when a matching task comes up.

The README itself says these skills are provided for demonstration and educational purposes only, and that what you get from Claude may differ from what the skills show — try them in your own setup before relying on them for important work.
